Today’s comic is based on “Waxed Mustache” and “Jousting,” the two topics I pulled from the Top Hat of Random Topics. Thanks to Blake Rothwell and Rachael Faught for contributing these ideas to the hat. Pulling these topics together gave me the inspiration to take the Little Vampires into a more surreal direction. Blake, do NOT actually joust with you mustache, fabulous as it is. 😉
Like most monster fans, I was sad to hear about the passing of the stop-motion animation genius Ray Harryhausen. I don’t work in film or sculpture, but Harryhausen was still an influence and inspiration. He gave monsters a life that I can only try to imitate.
