Hi to everyone that decided to check out the comic thanks to the shout-out from Randy Milholland of Something Positive. Randy said my work is “a fun, easy read of a webcomic and the folks behind it are sweet as watermelon covered in syrup. I see them at most of the conventions I attend and they always check on the other cartoonists around ‘em and make sure we’re okay. They’re just nice people who do a fun webcomic. Give it a try.”

That’s just … I don’t even. I could not have asked for a greater compliment.

Because I do an all ages comic, I sometimes feel that my work is a little less “worthy” and “cool” than a comic like Randy’s. No one in webcomics has done anything to make me feel that way, mind you. The opposite is true, actually; I’m still overwhelmed by how welcome I’ve been made to feel. But I’m an artist, and I’m neurotic, and I can’t help but compare my work to that of the greater webcomics community. My comic isn’t edgy. It’s not pushing any social boundaries. It’s meant to make you smile. So welcome. I hope my work makes you smile.

I can’t even begin to express how awesome it is to get a shout-out from someone like Randy. Don’t let the fact that he looks like a hobo that would stab you with the bristle-end of a toothbrush fool you. He is a true gentleman.

Fan Art Request

I’m hard at work on the second Little Vampire printed collection, called The Fellowship of the Bleh. This second book is dedicated to you, the amazing Little Vampire fans that have helped me continue to do the work I love so much. As a way to say thank you, I’m going to include fan art in the book. So send some my way! This can include photos of your Little Vampire or Wolfie plush, monster cosplay, or drawings that you might think are meh but that I will think are awesome. If you break into itchy spots at the idea of drawing, write a blurb and share your thoughts about the Little Vampires and their friends. Or do a drawing and a blurb!
