Thanks to everyone that came to see us at SoCal Comics! And thanks again to Kat of 01 Publishing for inviting us.
Our next appearance will be at the Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest in mid-December. I’ll post details about that after Thanksgiving. The Little Vampires are looking forward to seeing their Phoenix fans!
I would say something about Phoenix Fans, but I don’t want to get a hat in my face.
I can’t wait to see you at Phoenix Comicon!
Ok, so I’ve been catching up on all the beauty that is Little Vampires… (confession time… I had not read any before I witnessed the knitted gargoyle gifting. My friend had mentioned the comic before, but somehow I had forgotten about it. *hangs head in shame*) I NEED THIS PAINTING!! I’m not big on impressionism (if I want blurry, I’ll take my glasses off…), but I LOVE Starry Night, and did not know I needed Starry Day in my life till now!
Well, as soon as I learn to paint . . . don’t hold your breath. 🙂 I love Impressionism, and am a fan of Van Gogh and his Post-Impressionism. It’s all about conveying the feeling of reality as opposed to just showing reality. And Van Gogh showed the energy and beauty of his world despite living with so much mental and emotional pain. So when I see Starry Night, I see what a bad ass Van Gogh was. Turning pain into beauty, instead of into more pain. Bad. Ass.
Want to add that if you ever get to see one of paintings up close and for real . . . the freaking LIFE in his brush strokes. Copies don’t do them justice. I hope to see Starry Night up close someday.
