And thus endeth the Star Trek arc. Thanks for all the positive feedback! I’ll be sure to let the Little Vampires get their geek-on again in the future.
Site recommendation alert! Check out the site for my bud Mister Diablo. He is now an official retailer of Little Vampire plush dolls. And if you haven’t already, go to The Bean by Travis Hanson. Travis’s work is up for a well-deserved Eisner!
So they found the stash of old star wars figures.
You need to hide your stuff better.
When I was researching the reference art for this, I realized just how wrooong the original cantina creatures action figures were. I don’t think they even tried to make them look like their characters in the movie. Hammerhead’s figure wears this blue bathing suit thing, and the Kenner Walrusman (as he was then known) had white eyes with black pupils open in this “Whoaaaah!” expression. Then again, that’s how I would look if I got my arm cut off by some old dude in a bar.
I regret never having owned the cantina band action figures. Was I the only person that called those guys The Buttheads? I can’t be the only one, people.
And yes, I’m old enough to have owned the original Kenner Star Wars action figures.
The really odd thing was when I saw that second panel the first thing that popped into my head was “we don’t serve your kind here.”

Yay! I live to make you spit. And OMG May is, like, next month! WTwhat?!? Can’t wait. 🙂
